-) 2017 MarcUS for Change 5K:
The annual MarcUS for Change 5K raises awareness and funding for youth mentoring programs in Stamford and the greater Fairfield area, including the Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) nationally recognized mentoring programs. After run celebrations include free fun-filled, family-centered activies, such as zumba & yoga, food trucks and touch-a-fire truck, multicultural kids' parade and dancing, singers & inspirational speakers and 40+ community information tables.
- The course starts on Mill River Road to Broad Street, turning west and moving up Adams Street to Cloonan Middle school. The route continues north behind Wright Tech school and up the side and into Scalzi Park. Follow the circular loop up to Bridge Street, turning right to the corner at Bridge and Washington, and then south along the scenic Mill River. The course doubles back into Mill River Park, with a big finish in the park center circle.
