Description

Join the Uwharrie Running Club for the 15th Annual Turkey Trot 4.2-Mile Run on Thanksgiving morning.  The holiday tradition starts at 7:00 am at the YMCA park at 427 N. Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.

The run is free. The first 200 runners that bring at least three canned goods or non-perishable items for the Stanly County Christian Ministries will recieve a Turkey Trot Towel. Long Sleeve T-shirts, hoodies and hooded t-shirts are available for sale.

Two years ago, 477 runners/walkers participated in the run and donated 1,808 pounds of food for the Stanly County Christian Ministries.   This year's goal is to get 500-particiants and collect 2,000 pounds of food.

Turkey Trot Long-sleeve t-shirts and hoodies will be available for sale through Vac & Dash.
