Description

Alameda Ridge; Rating: Difficult
Meet on corner of NE 47th & NE Alameda. Park on street. This is a hilly walk on city sidewalks with some elevation gain. No public restrooms, restaurants close by on Sandy Blvd.
Prerequisite: Hikers new to the program are encouraged to attend the free Walking and Hiking Orientation class. There is no skill level assessment required to participate in this program, but you must be able to walk a 20-minute mile without shortness of breath. Sturdy footwear required. To receive a credit or refund upon withdrawal, call 503-823-4328 at least one week before the hike date.
DRIVERS:
From downtown Portland, drive east on Burnside.
Cross the Burnside Bridge. and get into the left lane.
At the 'multiply' lane intersection on NE 12th veer left onto Sandy.
Drive approx. 2 miles to NE 47th.
Turn LEFT (north) on NE 47th to Alameda.
BUS/MAX RIDERS:
Bus #12 (Sandy Boulevard) to stop at Sandy & Sacramento. Walk to NE 47th to Alameda.
