Strawberry Jam 5K...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

Back for our second sweetest race ever!! A deliciously sweet addition to the Annual Strawberry Festival in Ocala. The Strawberry Jam 5K along with the Habitat Strawberry Festival are fundraisers to raise enough funds to build the 2018 Strawberry House for a qualifying family. Habitat for Humanity of Marion County is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization.

Race Route- The 5K will start/end at McPherson complex (by the DMV building) and wind through the beautiful neighborhoods.  The course is 100% asphalt with water stations provides at 1.5 miles and at the finish line located at the 5th Annual Habitat Strawberry Festival. 

T-Shirts/Finisher Medals - T-shirts and custom FINISHER medals are guaranteed to the FIRST 250 registered participants. Please register early to reserve your shirt and medal!!! All pre-registered participants will receive a goody bag.

Awards- Winners will be announced and receive their medals on stage at the Habitat Strawberry Festival which is located near the finish line. Plan to stay after the race and enjoy all the sights, sounds and taste that Strawberry Festival has to offer!                                                          Awards for given to both Men & Women in the below listed age groups: 

• 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 +

Packet Pickup- Packet pickup will be on Friday, March 2nd from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the McPherson Complex under the big tent. A FREE pancake breakfast ticket will be given to all participants who ATTEND the PRE- RACE PACKET PICK UP on March 2, 2018. The ticket can be redeemed at the Habitat Strawberry Festival beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Registration- Early registration is $30. After February 28th and Day of registration is $35. Groups of 10 or more can contact Steven or Jessica at Next Step Fitness at (352) 500-STEP (7837) for a group rate of $25/runner. Start a team from your office or friends!

Habitat for Humanity goal is to eliminate poverty from Marion County and provide a safe and secure place to raise their children. The Home-ownership Program offers families, who meet the criteria,  the opportunity to have a decent home with affordable monthly mortgage payments.
