_ The 2018 NHS Student Vet Connect 5K:

This is our 4th year of giving back to those who served us. Our event is unique in that 100% of the profits after cost goes directly to LOCAL vets in need. Also we are an event that WELCOMES walkers, runners, families and DOGS. It is a great way to spend a Saturday morning in May and a great way to give back.

4th  Annual NHS Student Vet Connect Veteran’s Relief Fund 5k & 1 mile fun run & Dog Walk

                                                       Course Description

The 5-kilometer (3.1 mile) loop course starts and finishes at the Newnan High School Armory. The course will take you through some beautiful parts of old Newnan and by the Veteran’s Park.

 Entry Fee and Awards

Entry fee will be 25.00 for non-NHS students. Student fee is 20.00 (there is no charge for the fun run but no shirt is given) T-shirts will be provided to all who pre-register for  by May 1st. You may also purchase a shirt on the day of the event for 15.00$. (Limited number available)The entry fee is non refundable. Proceeds benefit the Veterans Relief Fund of Coweta Co. Awards will be given to top three finishers under the age of 12 in the fun run and the top three male and female finishers in the 5k based on age group. WE ARE A PET FRIENDLY RUN/WALK, SO BRING YOUR DOG AND JOIN US.

                                                Registration and Packet Pick Up

At Newnan High School on Armory Road on Friday, May 11th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and on race day from 7:00 am to 7:45 am. Races will begin at 8:00 for the no cost fun run and the 5k to follow.

                                                                   Parking

Will be available all around the Newnan High Campus and is free of charge. Plenty of parking is available.
