_ 2018 Iron Pig Duathlon, 5K & Time Trial:

A USA Duathlon sanction race consisting of a 5K run, 18 mile bike, 5k run. The Iron Pig Festival is held at the Fayetteville Executive Airport, therefore the run course is flat and fast! The bike course is on scenic Hwy 71S with rolling terrain.

The Bike Time Trail is sanctioned by USA Cycling and consists of a 17 mile course on Hwy 71 S. Known as the "race of truth" cyclists test themselves against the clock. Several categories with a non-aero equipment category as well. In 2017 the race became a Junior Devo Race series.

Great way to kick off your season! Great race for a beginner yet challenging enough for a seasoned pro!

Course Info

The start/finish line and transition area are located in the parking lots in front of the Drake Airport main terminal.

5K & 1 Fun Run - both duathlon 5K run courses are the same.

Transition Area - one single transition area in parking lot which is located in front of airport terminal building.

18 Mile Duathlon Bike - an out and back course on Hwy 71. Participants will proceed south on Hwy 71 to Woolsey Road and then return to Drake Airport and the transition area. The bike course has less than 300 feet elevation gain.

17 Mile Bike TT - an out and back course on Hwy 71. Participants will proceed south on Hwy 71 to Woolsey Road and then return to Drake Airport. Finish line is located approximately one-half mile south of the main entrance to the airport. The bike course has less than 300 feet elevation gain. The start/finish line and transition area are located in the parking lots in front of the Drake Airport main terminal.
