Description

All proceeds go toward the fight to eliminate breast cancer.  The purpose of the event is to raise money to provide mammogram screening and follow up services to those that are uninsured/underinsured at the Banner Casa Grande Breast Center.

  • Special plaques will be awarded for the TOP male and female in both the half marathon and 5K events.

Packet Pick-up and Race Day Information

  • Average Race Temperatures: 45º at Race Time and 71º at 11:00am

  • Packet pick-up will take place on Friday, Feb. 2nd, 2018 from 8:00am - 2:00pm at TBA

  • Race Day Registration and packet pick-up will be from 5:30am to 7:00am.

  • All athletes must present their Photo ID at time of pick-up.  

  • Athletes that did not register online (registered in person) must also present their signed ATHLETE'S RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT.

Directions to Central Arizona College

Take Exit 190 off I-10.  Go East on McCartney Rd to Overfield Rd (2.5 miles).  Turn Left (North) on Overfield Road to stop light (Campus Entrance) and follow parking signs.

Additional Information

  • No Bag Check Available.  Please secure your valuables in your vehicle.

  • Course Marshalls/Police are placed at all key intersections to direct runners and traffic.

  • Trained Medical staff will be available in the medical tent near the finish line.

  • Safety First!!  It is our goal to provide a safe running event for everyone.  The Race Director/committee reserves the right to refuse or cancel any application.

  • Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE.

    Event Rules

    • All runners must be at least 12 years old to participate in the Half Marathon.
    • You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge of either race.
    • If, due to age, runner does not have a photo ID, a legal parent must verify runner's information.
    • Pick up your own race packet and race number on race day or at the packet pick-up event on Friday, February 3, 2017 (See Packet Pick-up above)
    • Race numbers are required in order to participate.
    • Strollers are allowed for walkers only and walkers must begin the event at the back of the pack (to minimize trip hazards).No coaches, handcycles, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards, roller skates, or animals allowed.
      • As this event is chip timed, starting at the back of the pack will have no effect on your overall time.
    • Runners must enter the starting gate at least ten minutes prior to the start.  Race numbers must be worn on the front and must be visible.
    • No alcohol, tobacco, illegal substances, performance enhancing substances of any kind will be allowed.
    • If you consider yourself to have a disability please contact Kaitee Doll-Bell at [email protected] or Karen Tiemann at [email protected] to discuss your requirements prior to filling out your application/registration.  Under no circumstance will accommodations be made fewer than three days prior to the race.
    • Race marshals and medical team members that the authority to disqualify any runner they consider to be acting dangerously or to be unfit to compete.
    • Course Time Limits - To ensure that the roads reopen to vehicular traffic at the scheduled times, the NOON course time limit for the Half Marathon will be STRICTLY ENFORCED.  Once the time limit has been reached, all remaining runners on the course will be instructed to use road side from that point on.
    • In the event of any dispute the decision of the Race Director and/or committee shall be final.
    • Absolutely no early starters are allowed on the race course.
    • Toilets and hydration stations will be located at selected mile markers with adequate signage
