The 2018 Valentine's Run For Your Bling 5K and 1 mile

This event is about YOUR bling.  It's your footprint, the mark you leave behind.  It's your legacy to those who follow. You leave a mark on the world literally and figuratively.  And this race celebrates exactly that with several experiences in one: besides beautiful tech shirts, chip-timing, pancake breakfast, torch-cut trophies, finisher medals for the top 300, donuts, and Starbucks.....

(1) It's a great 5K on a course that is part super fast road and part beautifully scenic wooded trails. Amazing bling: custom torch-cut and engraved metal awards that are so unique and cool you'll want to leave them out year-round. They are literally works of art and not store bought. Awards to overall male and female plus top 3 in male and female age groups from 6-under to 75 and over. Finisher medals for top 300 in 5k

(2) It's a fun 1 mile over the same mix of roads and wooded trails. Awesome bling again: Awards to top 15 men and women! 

(3) It's a Valentine's costume contest with prizes for: most creative, most romantic, most fun, best couple, most unusual couple, most bizarre, and best cupid! Have fun, it's Valentine's Day.  Will you be cupid, a giant heart, a dozen roses, a ball and chain, a human sized bottle of champagne? Run or walk in costume then enter the contest after the run for some great prizes.  No additional paperwork or entry fees requied.

(4)  Celebrity Guest Host ABC Weatherman Denis Phillips! One of the area's most popular TV personalities is emcee for the race and costume contest.  It's a great chance to meet him and his family. 

(5) It's a couples race! No additional entry fee or registration required.  Awards in the 5k and 1 mile to the top 3 couples by combined finish time. 

(6) It's a party!  The energy is great!  Costumes, laughs, a great DJ thanks to Astro Skate DJs. 

(7) It's a great way to help the children of the non-profit Spring Valley School have better learning experiences all because of you! 100% of proceeds go to student enrichment programs.

Event details and schedule

1-mile starts at 7:30 a.m

5k starts at 8 a.m.

Awards and costume contest immediately after 5K finishes

Registration and packet pickup on day of race are behind Spring Valley School by the DJ and start at 6:15 am

Packet pick up before race day is Friday 2/09/17 at Spring Valley School in Palm Harbor from 4-6 p.m.
