_ The 2018 Night Owl 5K:
We've got owls! We've got hawks! We've got possums, turtles, and more, but we need you to join us!
Everyone who runs our third annual 5K race to raise money for rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife will get to meet several of our ambassador animals along the race course and at the start and finish. The course will be a mix of paved and hard-packed trails, winding through beautiful Panola Mountain State Park, one of the jewels of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area. Refreshments will be available before and after the race for your fueling and refueling needs.
AWARE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations and race proceeds will directly benefit AWARE's mission. AWARE is the only rehabilitation center in Georgia that treats all native wildlife species. AWARE helps up to 2,000 injured or orphaned wild animals each year and educates thousands of children and adults in the greater Atlanta community on ways to preserve, promote, and protect Georgia's wildlife and their natural habitats. Thank you so much for your support!
