2011 Stonington Village 5K Fun Run Series:

  • The 2011 race series will beign on May 31 and continue to September 6
  • The event consists of a 3.1 mile run in Stonington Borough.
  • The start and finish is at The Dog Watch Cafe.
  • The runs will be held on Tuesday nights with a 6:15 pm start time.

  • The race starts and finishes is at The Dog Watch Cafe.
  • The 5K running event will be a 2 loop course in Stonington Borough.
  • The race is mostly flat, with a few minor hills.
  • The entire race course is on pavement.

    The Dog Watch Cafe is located in beautiful Stonington Borough, directly overlooking Dodson Boatyard.

    From I-95 North
  • Take exit 91 toward No. Main St./Stonington Borough
  • Turn Right onto CT-234/Pequot Trail (.3 miles)
  • Turn Left onto No. Main St. (2.3 miles)
  • Turn Left onto Trumbull Ave/US-1A (.1 mile)
  • Turn Right onto Alpha Ave. (.2 miles)
  • Turn Right onto Water St. (.1 mile)

    From I-95 South
  • Take exit 91 toward Pequot Trail/No. Main St./CT-234. (.3 miles)
  • Turn slight left onto Taugwonk Rd. (.2 miles)
  • Taugwonk Rd. becomes CT-234/Pequot Trail. (.3 miles)
  • Turn Left onto No. Main St. (2.3 miles)
  • Turn Left onto Trumbull Ave./US-1A. (.1 mile)
  • Turn Right onto Alpha Ave. (.2 miles)
  • Turn Right onto Water St. (.1 mile)

  • This race will likely not be held as The Battle of Stonington 5k is scheduled to start at Wadawanuck Square at 6pm on the same night, and run on basically the same course.
