_ The 2018 Beer Run Crystal Lake:

Hello all and thank you for your interest in the Beer Run Crystal Lake. Registration is now OPEN!!! The race will take place on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 and will include a 5K race as well as a bar crawl following the end of the race. We will be donating 10% of our proceeds to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. We are excited to contribute to a charity that holds a special place in our hearts because it is helping one of the founding members of this race on their road to recovery. We look forward to seeing you on race day!

Event details and schedule

Thank you for your interest in the Beer Run Crystal Lake at Lippold Park. Our first annual Beer Run 5K/Bar Crawl will take place on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will consist of two parts, a 5k taking place at Lippold Park from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and a bar crawl taking place in downtown Crystal Lake from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. A portion of our proceeds from the race will be set aside to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Between the 5k and bar crawl we will be hosting some non-alcoholic, post-race activities including an award ceremony. Participants who will be attending the bar crawl portion will also be responsible for getting themselves to and from the bars.  

Registration is now open with a starting price of $35 for those participating in the event. Registration will remain open until the race begins at 2 p.m. on November 3rd, 2018. Packet pickup will occur the day before the event at the Running Depot as well as at Lippold Park the day of the event from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Post workout snacks and beverages will be provided to our runners after completion of the race, and there will be water stations for runners during the race. There will also medical support on the premises in case of medical emergencies.

Shirts will be given to all who compete in the race and a grand prize will be given to the 1st place male and female winners of the race. Everyone who signs up to participate in both the bar crawl and the 5k will receive a medal upon completion of the bar crawl portion of the event.

This event is a beginner, family friendly race and children are more than encouraged to partake in the event as it benefits a children's charity.
