DOG LOVERS THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!
Join us for the inaugural year of our Wag Run & Walk 5k/1-mile. This event is for walkers, runners, families, kids and their dogs benefitting local shelters and rescues. The course takes you on a cross country trail through Eagal Lakes Resort along the scenic San Joaquin River. The Wag Runners will start at 8:00 am with the Wag Walkers at 8:05 am.
$10 from every entry will be donated to Animal Rescue of Tracy, Animal Protection League, Lost & Found Pets 209 and Delta Humane & SPCA! Want to help more? Select to make a cash donation in any dollar amount you like OR choose an item from the shelter wishlist from $10-$80 before you check out!
Not a runner? No worries. The Wag Run is perfect for all dogs and their people! Joggers, walkers, and even outright dawdlers are welcome. The 1-mile Kids & Families walk/run will start at 8:10 am. This course takes you in a loop around our beautiful lake on a wide smooth rock and hard pack path that stroller approved and handicap accessible.
Runners and their dogs must run safely to prevent entangling other runners and their dogs. Participants and their dogs must run/walk the entire course. The course will have water station for walkers and their dogs about halfway through the course.
All Wag Runners, Walkers and their dogs will receive a Finishers Medal and Dog Tag at the finish line. You can sign up an additional dog to run/walk with you for a fee of $10; additional dog will also receive a Dog Tag. All participants will receive a Wag Run shirt, a “Doggie Bag” full of goodies and a post-race recovery meal and be entered to win raffle prizes given away throughout the day. Need to be present to win. Bring a bag of dog food and receive another entry ticket to the raffle!
After the race take part in our CONTESTS! Enter your dog in the BEST DOG TRICK, BEST DOG COSTUME and BEST DOG & OWNER contests! There will be prizes in 3 categories: small, medium and large breed.
Come for the run and stay for all day fun with friends, family and your fur-buddys! We’ll keep the party going with a DJ, bar specials, food trucks and pet friendly retail vendors for you to shop, eat and delight in. There will be limited shade so please bring pop-ups, sun umbrellas, chairs and beach towels.
Pet adoptions on site, chipping, as well as special dog entertainment! Benefits to animal shelters and non-profit rescues. You can donate direct to one of the listed shelter of your choice while registering on line. We will also be receiving donated bags of dog food to distribute to the shelters.
Dogs MUST be friendly and well socialized. All dogs MUST be leashed on a maximum leash length of 6 feet through out the event. Any dog or owner who we deem to be unfriendly or showing aggressive behaviors will be asked to leave for the enjoyment & safety of other participants.
Be a trooper and be sure to bring the pooper scooper!

Gates Open: 7:00 am
Wag Run 5k: 8:00 am
Wag Walk 5k: 8:05 am
Wag Run/Walk 1-mile: 8:10 am
You must register no later than June 15th to guarantee you will receive an official event shirt in your size. Sizes will not be exchanged until after the onsite day of the event registration has completed.
Online registration on Active.com closes June 22nd. If you want to register after June 22nd, you may do so at Eagal Lakes Resort (ELR) on the day of the event starting when the gates open at 7:00 am. Race fees increase the day of the race.
ELR has a no refund policy on all of our events. Transfers from one ELR event to another within the same calendar year will be allowed. There is a $25 fee for all transfers. Transfers are not allowed during race week.
All participants will receive a Wag Run shirt and a “Doggie Bag” full of goodies at check-in.
All participants will be awarded a Finishers Medal and Dog Tag at the finish line.
All participants will receive a post-race recovery food.
Water stations will be available to participants and their dogs at the finish line and halfway through the 5k.
All participants will be entered to win raffle prizes. Prizes will be given throughout the day. Must be present to win.
Our Race for FREE Athlete Volunteer Program offers a chance to support our races and get $25 ELR RACE VOUCHER. Vouchers are good towards entry fees at any of our events within the same calendar year.
High School Students! Volunteering at ELR is a wonderful way to have fun while collecting COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS.
