The Wish Makers 5k Run and Walk will benefit The Wish Upon a Star Foundation. This organization grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses in the Greater Will County area. Come join us with your family in the wish making process by walking or running as a community.
Registration and Packet Pick-up1The race takes place on Sunday, August 7th starting at 9:00 am. Packet pickup and race day registration will begin at 8:00 AM and ends at 8:45 AM. The first 200 participants will receive a T-Shirt. Awards will be given out to the top overall male and female finishers and the top three finishers in each category.Course and Timing2The course is USATF certified. It is a scenic flat course with some hills and is paved. The race starts at the entrance of the Paul E. Breise Park off of Ingalls and heads north through Rock Run Trail. It continues going south on the Joliet Junction Trail and back along Ingalls Avenue. The race ends in front of American Legion Post 1080.

Please check back at a later date for more information regarding timing.Goal3The average wish cost is $4,000-$6,000. The purpose of the "Wish Maker's 2nd Annual 5k Run and Walk," is to raise $5,000. Last years inaugural race turned out to be a great success. WIth the help of the running community, the Wish Upon a Star Foundation raised over $3,500. The money raised benefited two children and their families. Join us this year and fundraise individually or fundraise as a team!
