The Ride

Crank your pedals and unleash the rhythmic freedom of your own power as you take flight on the road. The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce invites you to share your love of biking by joining us on our 3rd  deTour through Jefferson County Bike Ride!  Whether you enjoy occasional weekend rides with your kids or you’re more of a competitive rider—we have a ride for you.
Roll through scenic hilly countryside and small towns that wind through the relatively flat terrain of Jefferson County, IL, expe-riencing the Midwest in ways you never could while driving.  Stimulate the mind and the body with an exhilarating day on the bike followed by free entry into the Cedarhurst Art Center where you can explore the local culture to your heart’s content.
We have four recreational rides for you to choose from: 62, 35 and 15 Mile, the rides start and finish at the Illinois National Guard. The 62, 35 and 15 Mile Rides include rest stops supplied with food and water every 10 miles or so.  This spring, write your own adventure with each turn of the wheel by joining our deTour Bike Ride! 

The Run

This is a 5K run that starts and finishes from the Illinois National Guard Armory.  Starting at 9am this run is great way to start the Spring!
