This is an inexpensive small race with a great chance for runners to receive awards. Since this is half of an intercontinental race series, anyone entering the race in Maryland, USA will automatically receive a free entry into the sister 6.6k race in Wamunyu, Kenya in October 2018 and would receive a medallion for completing both races. There will also be a fun run.
The course starts on McAlpine Rd. across from St. Johns and goes through the Dunloggin neighborhood returning to St. Johns for the finish. It has enough hills (175 foot gain) to make a challenge. The couse will be open to traffic but the neighborhood is fairly quiet. A picture of the route is on the registration page.
Take U.S. 29 and exit for westbound U.S.40, immediately get to the left lane. At the first light turn left onto St. John's Lane. At the first light on it turn right onto Frederick Road westbound. At the top of the hill turn right (the 2nd right) onto the St. Johns Campus.
