New place! Lake Hodges is going to be home for this year's race, it will be fun and different. Come to run and celebrate 4 years of children for children 5k.

What is this event?

Hi, I'm your race director, Natasha Preece. I'm 13 years old and I just want to make a difference. 

Children for children 5k is a project that I started two years ago, when I realized that not all kids are as privileged and they don't have as many opportunities as many of us do to practice sports. So, the idea came to do a fun 5k, where children could help another children.

All the proceeds of this race will go to helping children play sports, have fun and learn more about themselves. So come out, enjoy one of San Diego’s most beautiful parks and help other kids to get active in sports.

By the way... did I mention that all participants will receive a VERY COOL MEDAL and GOODIE BAG! Sign up today and make a difference!

Event details and schedule

Pick up packages: 7:00 am - 7:45 am

Race starts: 8:00 am

Parking: Will be at Lake Hodges, 18448 West Bernardo Drive
San Diego, CA 92127

VIP: Participants who register as VIP runners will get access to our Special VIP Porta-Potties. Why wait in line when you can have access to specially treated red carpet facilities and get more kids into sports with your donation.

Directions / Parking

The event is at LAKE HODGES, just 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, just north of the intersection of the 56. The start and finish are located next to the Rancho Bernardo Tennis Club.

The main parking lot holds 200 vehicles (DO NOT PARK in the NO PARK areas). There are also additional surface lots and street parking. 

From 15 Fwy North: Exit on Follow I-15 N to W Bernardo Dr/Pomerado Rd. Take exit 26 from I-15 N. Turn left onto W Bernardo Dr/Pomerado Rd. Turn right at Rancho Bernardo Community Parkdrwy

From 15 S Fwy North: Exit on Follow I-15 s to W Bernardo Dr/Pomerado Rd. Take exit 26 from I-15 N. Turn right onto W Bernardo Dr/Pomerado Rd. Turn right at Rancho Bernardo Community Parkdrwy

RULES

- Participants must follow and stay on the course.

- No participants going backwards, animals, bicycles, strollers, roller skates, scooters, skateboards or pets are allowed.

- Participants agree to follow the instructions of the race.

- No headphones are allowed.

ALL participants will receive a very cool medal.
