_ The 2018 Florida Poly Pi Run:

The Florida Poly Pi Run is a non-profit student organized event held in honor of March 14, National Pi Day. The goal of the Pi Run is to raise funds for student scholarships and hence, 100% of the proceeds earned by the Florida Poly Pi Run go toward those scholarships at Florida Polytechnic. Making it truly an event by the students, for the students.

The 2018 Pi Run will mark our fourth annual race. In the previous 2017 race, we had our largest turnout of around 120 runners, and were able to raise $3,429.50 for student scholarship funds. This year we anticipate double the runners and double the scholarship funds raised, amounting to $7,000 as our goal.

The run showcases our beautiful award winning campus, and features a speedy Road Run that is sure to allow for some PR times. But for those who want a fun and less competitive run the route will offer a look into our campus's new developments, more specifically the brand new Phoenix Fitness Center!

Event details and schedule

• Registration/ Sign-In opens at 7:00 AM, and can be found at the start of the race 
• Race starts at 7:30 AM
• Parking will be directed to Parking Lots 4 & 6 on campus (https://goo.gl/maps/pqqYDeHbKbk | https://goo.gl/maps/V4nwEyTQM2m)
• The course is 3.14 miles long, and includes the following:
  • 3 water stations
  • route directors 
  • Signs, cones, and arrows for directing
• Weather dependant, don't forget to bring a jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
• There will be an after party by the Pheonix Fitness Center, which will include local company booths, music, refreshments, and food!
