_ The 37th Annual Aptos Women's 5-Miler:

Be a part of a local running tradition! We started this race 37 years ago to give women a chance to race with other women, back when most race participants were men. A lot has changed since then, but the Aptos Women's 5-Miler is still a volunteer-run, not-for-profit, community-supporting event put on by and for women. Whether you’re in it to break the tape, or just looking to try a new distance in a fun and supportive atmosphere, we hope you'll join us in 2018!

COURSE: The Aptos Women’s 5-Miler starts and finishes in Aptos Village Park, following flat-to-rolling paved and dirt roads through the Forest of Nisene Marks. The course also includes a short and scenic stretch of single-track trail, and travels through oak and redwood forest.

DIVISIONS: WOMEN: 13 & under; 14-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-69; 70+; top finishing mother-daughter; top finishing sisters; top finishing friends. (Results will be posted online.)

You may also register for the KIDS' 0.5-MILER or the new MEN'S DIVISION (also 5 miles; same age group breakdown as the women's race). The women's, kids', and men's races will have separate start and finish times, just like at a cross-country meet. Runners can experience a gender-specific event and also cheer for friends, partners, kids, and/or parents who are participating in different races.

Registration fee includes a commemorative 37th Annual AW5M shirt. Packets available on race day; other packet pick-up options TBA. We won't mail you anything in advance. The race will be held rain or shine. Walkers are (always!) welcome, but unfortunately we cannot have wheels or dogs on the course.
