_ The 2018 Rock the Canal:

**RACE DAY REGISTRATION ACCEPTED, CASH OR CHECK ONLY. NO REFUNDS!**

Beautiful 5” medal to all finishers.

The course crosses over the Gage Canal in Riverside. There will be fully stocked aid stations at the start area and marathon turnaround, with Gatorade, water, bananas, chips, cookies, and more. There are a lot of activities going on in this park, so we need to respect others by keeping this event low-key!  Therefore, please leave the cheering squad at home for this one.

Event details and schedule

START TIME AT 7:00 AM

WHERE: From the 15/91 interchange in Corona, traveling approximately six miles east on the 91 Freeway, take the Van Buren Bl. exit. The exit "T's" at Indiana. Turn left, go about 1/10th mile to Van Buren Bl., turn right. In approximately one mile, after crossing Victoria, the park is on the left, at Van Buren & Cleveland. Turn left at Cleveland and enter the park on the left.

SET-UP AREA: We'll be on the left side, just inside the park entrance.  We aren't with the Riverside Road Runners that set up next to the restrooms!!

COURSE: The course will be starting from the park's parking lot, turning left on Cleveland for about approximately .25 miles, then right on Jackson. In approximately 1 mile (maybe a little less) Jackson crosses over the Gage Canal. Turn left onto the Gage Canal service road (hard-packed dirt). The half marathon goes out 6.55 miles and back to the finish. The marathon goes out 6.55 miles and back 2 times. There are a few street crossings (Arlington can be very busy, so be careful), which will be clearly marked, and there will be one self-serve water stop along the way. The 10K goes out 3.1 miles, then reverses back to the start/finish area. The 5K goes out 1.55 miles, then reverses back to the start/finish area.

AID STATIONS: Fully stocked aid stations at the start area and just off the course at the marathon/half-marathon turnaround, with Gatorade, water, bananas, chips, cookies, and more. The second aid station will be unmanned, but mapped out and well marked at exactly 6.55 miles. There will be a water station about 3 miles out on the course. The course will be clearly marked with chalk & fluorescent liquid chalk at any junction/turn. There are full service restrooms at the park, but no other restrooms along the course.
