_ The 2018 Virginia-Highland Summerfest 5K:
This year’s Summerfest 5K Road Race will take place the morning of Saturday June 9 and will feature 1,500+ runners winding their way through the streets of Virginia-Highland. This race is a certified Peachtree qualifier, and features electronic chip timing. This race often sells out in advance, so participants are encouraged to register in advance.
About Summerfest:
Join in the excitement of the 35th annual Virginia-Highland Summerfest. The festival is a nonprofit event with proceeds donated to neighborhood projects: park improvements, landscaping, public libraries & more. Highlights of Summerfest include: the Artist Market with over 200 national artists, live music, Local Market featuring gourmet food and home items, Kid’s Fest and the 5K Road Race & Tot Trot. Each year over 50,000 visitors attend Summerfest for one of the most memorable weekends of the year.

Where:
The race starts near the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Lanier Boulevard, one block east of N. Highland Avenue.
Race Starts at 8:00 AM:
Begin lining up at 7:30 with walkers and strollers to the rear please.
Early packet pick-up:
June 2, June 4 - Jun 7, 10:00 - 6:00 — Phidippides Ansley Mall
Friday, June 8 - 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm- Virginia-Highland Church
Early packet pick up is required.
Race Day packet pick up is for out of town runners only please.
Awards:
Awards will be given to first, second and third place by age group, and for overall and masters male and female winners.
