_ The 2018 Perseverance 5K:

The 28th annual Perseverance 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is a flat, fast course through the residential areas of Homewood. Fun community event & dog friendly!!  The race begins and finishes at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, which is located approximately 1.5 miles east of I-65 and the same distance west of Red Mountain Expressway/Highway 31. This is a great course for a P.R.! Refreshments are provided at the start and finish of the race. Come join top runners from the Birmingham area for this fun, family friendly race!
