_ The 2018 5K Fun Run for Health:
The Junior Girl Scout Troop 216 of Winfield have put together a 5K run to help increase the awareness of exercise and health.
5K begins just south of Apollo Dr. on Hwy. 253, downtown Winfield. At the red light, intersection of Hwy. 253 & Hwy. 118, turn left and run in the marked parking spaces on Hwy. 253 until that area narrows in front of the EMS building. Stay to the far left, running on Hwy. 118 for approximately 1/2 mile, through the red light, past Cardinal on your right. Take the first left after crossing the bridge -- you are on Apple Ave. Turn immediately left again, cross the next bridge and run up the hill to Community Street. Turn right on Community Street. Run to the entrance to the Ivan K. Hill Park (sign), and turn right at the sign. Continue to follow the road through the park. Turn left upon exiting the park. Continue down Community Street, and turn left again and enter the park again. Follow the road through the park. Upon exiting the park, turn left onto Community Street. Ru to the end of Community Street where it deadends into Apple Ave. Turn right onto Apple Ave. Continue on Apple Ave. through both 4-way stops, toward the fire station. When Apple Ave. deadends at the bottom of the hill, turn left and continue down Hwy. 253 to the finish line adjacent the clock tower.
