_ 2018 Encinitas Half Marathon:
The overall on-course time limit is 3 hours and 15 minutes. The course will have a rolling re-opening that will be strictly enforced by city and police personnel and course directional signage, mile markers, police services, portable restrooms, water stations may be removed from the course.
This is not just another road race. We're heavily focused on creating a unique and memorable half marathon experience for you. We have a creative team of event organizers from world famous events helping to make this course one you will never forget!
You'll start and finish at Moonlight State Beach and B Street! The race begins by heading east to Hwy 101, then turning left to go through "funky" Leucadia passing by local hotspots such as Pannikin, Solterra Winery and the Surfing Madonna mosaic. There will be toilets and aid stations at every mile. You'll also be surprised with "fun course entertainment" to keep you smiling!
Next, you'll run through Encinitas passing by the legendary Encinitas Boat Houses, Swami's Temple and Gardens, Cardiff Kook statue all while you enjoy stunning ocean views all the way to Solana Beach. In downtown Solana Beach, you'll turn around at Lomas Santa Fe and make your way back to the finish line.
Moonlight State Beach & B Street:
From I-5, take Encinitas Blvd. and head 1/2 west towards the ocean. Encinitas Blvd. turns into B street where it dead ends into Moonlight Beach. You won't be able to miss the start/finish line.
All parking is FREE and you can park at MiraCosta College off of Manchester Ave in Encinitas and take the shuttle to the starting line. Please see the website for details on shuttle operation times.
You can also park in downtown Encinitas, City Hall, Coaster parking lot, neighboring streets, etc. See website for details.
