_ The 2018 Hudson's Monster of a 5K:

Hudson was a happy and healthy little boy. Sadly, on February 19, 2014, he passed away in his sleep at the age of 16 months. We have been left with no answers as to why our precious son died. Since Hudson was more than 12 months old when he died, his death is not considered Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Instead, his death belongs to a lesser-known category, Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC), which describes the death of healthy children who are beyond their first birthday.

We have created this event to bring our community together in order to raise awareness of SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood) and to raise funds that will support SUDC’s mission and will aid in the research effort towards answers for all families.  We hope to use Hudson’s 5k as a way to remember and honor our sweet baby boy while helping bring peace to others who live without answers.
