Empowering youth to build confidence and reach for higher education, one season at a time…

Lately random violence can strike anywhere, anytime and when you least expect it! Unfortunately we can never predict when a simple outing and or event can turn fatal. 1/29/16 Two teenagers lost their lives attending a party in a "safe" part of town. Neither were in a gang, one was a 17 yr old male HS Senior and the other was a 19 College student. Please help honor their untimely deaths, will contributing to their legacies.

Join Beyond the Bullet for their 5K and 1k run/walk as we run to build community, raise awareness, remember the loved ones lost to violence, and engage in important dialogue about what we can do as a community. 

Proceeds from the run/walk will go toward creation of a scholarship fund in memorial of William Harris and Kayla DeBorde. The scholarship will support two (2) graduating high school seniors in Fresno, respectively, encouraging the pursuit of higher education and community engagement.

Race day registration: Race day registration will be held from 8:00AM to 10:00AM on June 3rd at Woodward Park - Mountain View Shelter (near the race start line)

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Youth under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult if running/walking the 5K. All youth ages 12 and under are welcome to run the 1 mile fun run. All participants must sign a fee waiver in order to participate.  

Transportation and parking: There is limited parking available within Woodward Park. Please note that the City of Fresno charges a $5 fee per car. We suggest carpooling or using public transit when possible. 

Is my registration/ticket transferable? While your registration will not be transferable, you may opt to run as a virtual runner if you are unable to physically attend the event. Packets will be mailed to you directly if the virtual runner option is chosen. Please note that the mailing fee will be the responsibility of the requester. 

Refund policy: There will be no refunds unless event is canceled. However, rain or shine this event will be conducted. If you can not participate, for any reason, your registration fee will be considered a donation to our organization.
