Grab your friends and family and head to Purgatory Resort for the muddiest event of the summer!

Muck & Mire has something for everyone...

• "Muddy Muck": roughly 5k, perfect for the casual or serious athlete.  The whole family will love this one!
• "Mini-Muck": roughly 1 kilometer, great for little kids (and grandparents!)

You'll find over 20 obstacles and LOTS OF MUD as you make your way through the course!

And remember -- this is a PARTY, not just a race.  Do you have a crazy costume?  Wear it!  Do you have a team of friends who love to be goofy!  Bring them!  Did you have fun falling into that mud pit?  Get up, turn around, and do it again!  There's no time limit, and no rules other than "Have fun!"

OBSTACLES:

This amazing race course has obstacles that will test your limits, as well as obstacles that are just plain fun and muddy.  Here are just a few of the obstacles you will encounter:

• Mud pit!
• Hay bales!
• Log jam!
• Cargo net!
• Greased pig!
• Wall climb!
• Slip n' slide!
• And did we mention the mud???

POST-RACE FESTIVITIES:

After you finish the course, the fun is just getting started.  We've got a band at the finish line, post-race refreshments provided by Coca-Cola and a beer garden from Steamworks Brewing, and lots of other festivities.  It's all included in your race entry.  So rinse off, throw on some clean clothes, and stick around for the party.

**Register by July 1 to guarantee a shirt in your requested size.  (Note: for the 1-mile kids' category, the shirt is an optional add-on purchase.  We do it this way to keep the entry fee as low as possible if you don't want the shirt.)

REGISTRATION DISCOUNTS:

Early bird discounts:  Take advantage of the price savings by registering early!

Family and team discounts:  Have a team or family of four or more?  Register together and $5 will be automatically deducted at check-out for each 5k participant!

Free entry:  Get seven others to sign up, and your entry is free.  And they will all get a discount as well!  Just contact us and ask us to set up a special code for your group.  It's the perfect excuse to get your whole office up to the mountain for some mud and fun!

CORRALS (AKA START TIMES):

When you register you will be asked to select a corral, or start time.  This is to spread out the participants and prevent congestion on the course.  If your friends are all in a corral that no longer has space, don't worry -- just let us know and we will reassign you when you come to packet pickup.

PACKET PICKUP:

Early packet pickup is available on Friday, August 3 from noon - 5:30pm at Purgatory Sports located at 2615 Main Avenue. Race day packet pickup will begin at 8:30am in the Festival Tent at Purgatory Resort.  Please arrive and check in at least 30 minutes before the start of your heat.
