2018 Van Wilgen's Flamingo 5K

_ The 2018 Van Wilgen's Flamingo 5K:

This is a 5K Run/ 5K Walk and 1/4 mile kids race held entirely on the trails and farm roads of the 56 acre, family owned farm  at Van Wilgen's Garden Center in North Branford.

• 8:00 AM  Registration Opens
• 9:30 AM  Kids Race (Kids 5 and under)
• 10:00 AM Run/Walk Start

Awards for the top three male and female finishers

100% of race proceeds benefit two charities that are near and dear to our hearts.  Bill Van Wilgen is a male breast cancer survivor as well as a Leukemia survivor.  Van Wilgen’s has facilitated many fundraising events where we have been able to contribute or donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as well as the Smilow Cancer Hospital. We are very proud of our community that we can come together and garden for the cure. Because of the Flamingos and Pink Weeks, we have been able to donate a total of $54,459.00! Let's do this again in 2018!

 We are still overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for our Pink Weeks Flamingos.  It seems as though everywhere you turn, there’s a flamingo on someone’s lawn! What a huge success this was and we are so proud to move forward with the Flamingo Fund and  host the Flamingo 5K fundraiser on our 56 acre family farm.
