_ The 12th Annual Walnut Grove 5K Breakaway and Fun Run:
Come out and help Santa fill his Sleigh with our Christmas In July Themed Breakaway 5K at Walnut Grove UMC in Loganville, GA. The run/walk will help raise money for our Secret Santa mission. We sponsor several families in the Walnut Grove area and provide them with a holiday meal and Christmas gifts for their children!
Event details and schedule
Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 6:30AM in the Family Life Center of the church.
Fun Run: Starts at 7:10AM
5K: Starts at 7:30AM
Awards: Awards for overall Male/Female, plus the top three Male/Female runners in 5 year age increments from age 10 and under through 75 and over will receive a trophy. Other festive favors! There will be a prize to the best Holiday Costume. You do NOT have to run in your costume, safety first and it will be warm.
Shirts: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 7/15/18. Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size.
Refreshments and Goodies: There will be plenty of refreshments provided. There will be other holiday favors.
Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2018 Black Bag Race Series and the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix.
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
