_ The 2018 Marion Arts Festival 5K Run-Walk:

The Marion Arts Festival 5K Run-Walk has long been a favorite season opener for many serious amateurs, recreational runners and the casual walkers.  Thanks to race sponsor, Benchmark, Inc., there will be $1,100 in prize money, as well as many free gifts, giveaways, and raffle drawings worth thousands of dollars. Join us for a singular 5K experience, with the best shirt, door prizes, and finish line amenities!

(Note: We no longer offer a half marathon distance option at the Marion Arts Festival Run.)

Thank you for your interest and support over these past six years! We had fun, and hope you did, too – your participation contributed much to our ability to sustain educational programming in area schools.

For an early-spring half marathon experience, consider the first annual RUN CRANDIC on April 29th, proceeds from which will benefit the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City School Districts. Running is always better when on the turf for a cause! Thank you for having been part of our day!

The nationally recognized Marion Arts Festival (MAF) is a free, family friendly, come-as-you-are community art party…accessible high quality culture, for all. The MAF will once again feature a fun, competitive 5K Run-Walk to kick off the day’s festivities.  After the race, participants are invited to enjoy festival activities. The Art in the Depot public art program, Empty Bowl Project and Patron Sponsor Program are all offered in conjunction with the exhibiting artists.
