_ The 2018 Herrinfesta Road Races:

The Herrinfesta Road Races evolved from a series of road races that Art Reveal started to showcase his son, Kevin’s, running ability. In 1981 the series was simply called the Herrin Road Races, with courses designed to be flat and fast. Steeped in history, the 10K and the 1 Mile straight away still use the same course. The longstanding course records speak to how fast this course can be. This is a great course for a new PR. 

***New This Year*** Newman & Co. will be opening race morning and they will be serving their famous tacos.                   

***Free tacos*** Each participant will get a voucher for one free taco to be redeemed race day only. Newman &Co. is a local eatery that is within eyesight of the finish. An excellent place for family and friends watch runners as they fly to the finish and a great place for runners to refuel and celebrate after the race.   

Top 5 male and female in the 10k receive special awards, and age group awards will be based on 5 year groupings. Top 3 in each age group will get a custom medal. **Top 5 placings will be based off gun time. Age groups will be based off chip time. 

Top Male and Female in the Straightaway Mile will receive a plaque, and age group awards will be based on 10 year groupings. Top 3 in each age group will get a custom medal.

Straight away mile START TIME 9:00 AM South Side Lumber $15 pre-registered/ $20 race day

Straight away mile and 5k or 10k $30 pre-registered/ $40 race day

Youth one mile fun run (12 and under) $5 pre-registered $8 race day START TIME 9 AM South Side Lumber

REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICKUP Sunday May 27 4-6pm and

Monday May 28th from 6:30 -7:15 am at the Herrin Civic Center

**All runners registered by May 14th will receive a custom t-shirt.
