NEW THIS YEAR!

There are so many NEW aspects to this race that we’re excited to bring you! We will still have the flat, fast course that you’ve loved about previous years races, but we’ve stepped up our game in the party department. To keep with the feel of our community race, we’ve partnered with Famous Dave’s in Bolingbrook (located at 704 Janes Ave.) to bring you the ultimate in race experiences. You want food? You got it! All runners will receive a BBQ sandwich and two sides, along with a free bottle of Famous Dave’s BBQ sauce. You want more? We got that too! Check out what’s new in this year’s Parkie’s Famous 5K/10K.

• Kid’s Fun Dash! We have a new race for runners age 10 years and younger! All racers will get their very own cape.
• Feast at the Finish Line! All racers get a BBQ sandwich and two sides provided by Famous Dave’s.
• New shirt! We went for ultra-comfort this year with a super-soft race t-shirt!
• Sauces for Troops: Famous Dave’s will be sending bottles of BBQ sauce to our troops overseas. For a $1 donation you can write a message on a bottle of BBQ sauce. Make your donation during registration or on race day.
• All 5k and 10k finishers will receive a special commemorative medal.

Participants can register at the Bolingbrook Park District located at 200 S. Lindsey Ln. Bolingbrook, IL 60440 or 201 Recreation Dr. Bolingbrook, IL 60440 from 5:00 am-10:00 pm Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-8:00 pm on Saturday, and 7:00 am-6:00 pm on Sunday.

5k Registration fee:
$28 adults, $26 child (5-14 years), if registered before August 1, 2018
$33 adults, $31 child (5-14 years), if registered by August 23, 2018, at 5:00 pm

10k Registration fee:
$38 adults, $36 child (5-14 years), if registered before August 1, 2018
$43 adults, $41 child (5-14 years), if registered by August 23, 2018, at 5:00 pm

Super Parkie's 100 yard kids dash Registration fee:
$10 per child (up to age 10)

Pre-registration closes on August 23, 2018 at 5 pm CT. Race day registration will be available beginning at 6:30 am (5k: $40 adult/$36 child ages 5-14, 10k: $50 adult/$46 child ages 5-14). Parkie's 5k and 10k runs rain or shine. No refunds available.

There will be an awards presentation following the finish of the race consisting of special gifts for overall male and female and to the top three finishers in each age group of men and women (10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+).

The first 500 5k and 10k registrants will receive a race t-shirt (sized cannot be guaranteed). All kids dash registrants will receive a Super Parkie's cape. Post-race refreshments will be provided.

Limited childcare services will be available inside the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex building ($3 per child per hour).
