Description
The Silver Comet 10k is the last super fast Peachtree qualifying race of
2011 presented by The Get Fit Atlanta Marathon / Triathlon Club and
Training Program. Our 10k proceeds benefit numerous community programs
and school running programs. The Silver Comet 10k is the only 10k on
the Silver Comet Trail in Cobb County, Atlanta's hottest running,
cycling and family use trail!
Results1Results will be posted here on active.com & at www.SilverCometRaces.com by that afternoon Saturday, March 12, 2011 - These results may be printed for use in Peachtree Road Race ApplicationsDirections2Take I-285 W on the top end perimeter, exit Atlanta Road. Turn northwest heading outside the perimeter. Go two stoplights & turn left onto the four lane Cummberland Parkway, which turns into the East-West Connector. Drive ~6 miles and turn left onto Floyd Rd. Parking is available at Floyd Middle School on the left ~2 miles down Floyd Rd. The Kroger Shopping Center is .3 miles past the parking area on the left. Drive time from I-285/Atlanta Rd is approximately 10-15 minutes.Race Packets3Race numbers and timing chip pick-up starts at 6:00am race day.The race will use Champion Timing with start and finish mats! Race packets cannot be picked up early and will not be mailed.Gear Check and Shuttles4Gear Check will be provided if race day conditions warrant only. Free shuttles will return all race participants to the finish line celebration at Kroger. No cars are allowed to park at the finish line area.
