Description
A flat and FAST 5 K on a dirt and concrete path around picturesque McIntosh Lake. Enjoy great views of Mount Meeker and Long's Peak worry free because there are not streets to run on or to cross. This race is a fundraiser for Orphan's Bridge. All proceeds go to support programs supporting orphans in need. So Start gathering pledges now, collect all your promised donations, and deliver those to us on race day to be eligible for the prizes.
Firefighter Team Challenge1We have added a new firefighter competition within the Shoreline 5K. In honoring those who lost their lives, and remembering 9/11/2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center we are holding a team competition. A team of five emergency workers will each run the 5 K. Their combined times will determine who wins.Firefighter Team Challenge Grand Prize2Kroenke Sports & Entertainment has donated a Grand Prize for the Firefighter Team Challenge. The team that collects the most donations gets the use of a suite at an Avalanche game in the 2011-2012 season. Thank You KSE for your supporting Orphan's Bridge.Firefighter Team Challenge Details3A team consists of five registered participants. 1 team member must be of the opposite sex. Team members must be emergency service personnel and must have been for a year. Teams compete by raising donations. The Avalanche Suite will go to the team with the most donations. To be eligable for the suite a team must raise a minimum of $1500 in donations. Teams also compete for the fastest combined time of all 5 members. The fastest team takes home the traveling trophy for one year.Citizen Race4All runners/walkers are welcome.
