Description
Our loyalty to those who protect our freedoms will be experienced by everyone through the pageantry of Chicagolands most inspirational running event. Every mile is themed with the nine values of the armed forces. At the start, you will stand shoulder to shoulder with those who are defending our United States of America.Whatever your level, our two distances of 9.11 miles and 9.11 kilometers (5.6 miles) will allow you to delve deep within yourself to achieve a personal milestone.
The We Do Care Mission1We Do Care is an Illinois 501 (c) 3 non political and grass roots non profit organization founded in 2004. Our mission is to provide tangible opportunities for the American public to thank and support active duty military personnel, their families, and veterans while appreciating the freedom unique to our country.Registration2Register in advance with Active.com through 9/5/2011. Friday in-person registration is available at Wool Street Bar and Grill (see Advance Packet Pickup below, $10 additional). Race Day in person registration is available Saturday morning 7:00-8:45am ($10 additional).Advance Packet Pickup3Relax and beat the race-day morning rush! Join us at Wool St. to pick up your race number and goodies, then sick around and take part in the pre-race dinner (not included in entry fee). Packets include your race number, pins, and goodies.USATF Sanctioned & Certified (9.11 mile)5We know a quality race is important to you, and that is why both our races have been sanctioned by USA Track & Field. In addition, the 9.11 mile course is USATF certified. Both courses follow a rolling scenic path through the streets of the Village of Barrington south to the preserve area at Bakers Lake. All three events begin near Barrington's south Metra station parking lot (Lake and Summit). The route proceeds west of town into Barrington Hills.Corporate Running Clubs6Contact us about our company club program and rules.
