Race Purpose2The purpose of the event is to strengthen the bond between the civilian and military communities, promote sound physical health and fitness, and to raise money for charities. As a nonprofit event, proceeds from this race are donated to the Freedom Alliance Scholarshop Fund, USO, veteran and local youth leadership charitable organizations.Race Route3The Jacksonville Marine Corps 12 Marathon and Freedom 5K starts at the Veterans Memorial Wall near the Jaguars Alltel Stadium, crossing the river, then winds down through beautiful, historic Riverside Boone Park, and returning across the river to finish under crossed howitzers at Metropolitan Park on the St. Johns River.Race Timing4We are using Single Use Souvenir Chips this year. This is the chip you will receive when you pick up your race packet. You must wear this chip on your shoe to be included in the results. All finishers will receive a net and gun time. NO PERSONAL CHIPS!
