_ The 2018 Thunderpants 5K:
The 2nd annual Thunderpants 5K takes place at Autumn Ridge Farm, home of the Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue. This scenic race loops around the beautiful farm where you can enjoy the beautiful autumn trees as well as the many beautiful horses. This event is professionally timed with results posted online. After the race, enjoy Oktoberfest where you can purchase delicious foods, crafts, one-of-a-kind treasures, CDHR merchandise, have a tour to meet the horses, and enjoy a carriage ride (weather permitting).
ALL proceeds go towards Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue which is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of draft horses that were bound for slaughter, starvation, neglect, or abuse.
"You can't change the world by rescuing one horse, but for that one horse, its world is changed forever...."

Please arrive early in order to pick up your packets!
This is a mildly challenging course with two low grade inclines consisting of 7 trail loops around Autumn Ridge, the final stretch toward the finish line is located down the center of the rescue so you can wave to Teddy Mack von Thunderpants and his friends just before crossing the finish line. There will be an aid station 1/2 way around the 0.4 mile loop as well as the end of the race. This year's race will be a measured and timed event!
