_ The 2019 Racin' for Rescues 5K:

Join AZ Paws and Claws Pet Fostering for the Racin' For Rescues 5K and 1 Mile event!  This pet friendly event will hit the paths at Freestone Park in Gilbert on April 7, 2019. 

Millions of unwanted dogs and cats are put down every year in US shelters. We want to help change that! By participating in Racin’ for Rescues, you will help us find homes for these pets so they may find that loving family they’ve been waiting for. All of our volunteers are unpaid and willingly put themselves and their hearts on the line to save animals. The funds we collect will help us feed more hungry dogs and cats, provide needed emergency medical care, create more neuter/spay programs for the public and get one step closer to saving them all.

- Age Group Awards for Top Three in all Age Groups for the 5K event only.  Our age groups are the following:

• 8 & Under, 9 & 10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Older

- Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Brunch" (bagels, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)

This event is leashed pet and stroller friendly!

You will have two opportunities to pick-up your race packet (bib, chip, event swag, etc):

• Friday, April 5th from 4:00 - 7:00pm at TBA

• Sunday, April 7th starting at 7:00am at Freestone Park (event site)

• April 7 07:00 AM - Race Day Packet Pick-up and Registration Opens

• April 7 08:00 AM - 5K Race Begins

• April 7 08:15 AM - 1 Mile Fun Run Begins

• April 7 09:15 AM - Awards Begin (approximate)
