2019 Bellows Outdoor Adventure Race

• 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles

On Saturday, February 2, 2019 just steps away from the beautiful crystal clear waters of Bellows Beach, the MARINE CORPS TRAINING AREA BELLOWS (MCTAB) will combine endurance with excitement while hosting the BELLOWS OUTDOOR ADVENTURE RACE a.k.a THE B.O.A.R. This adventurous event will take your racing skills to the next level ! The run course is 3.1 miles in distance with 5 "circuit stations" throughout to test your strength and endurance. 

Compete in the open classification (individual or 4-person team) or in the newly created warrior classification (Harder, Heavier, and Tougher).

Open classification (individual and team) circuit stations include; ammo can (approx. 30lbs, youth approx. 25lbs), sand-bags (approx. 25-30lbs, youth approx. 20lbs), tire-flips (Humvee tire, approx. 40-45lbs), weighted carry (two 35lbs plates, youth two 15lbs plates) and low rope crawl.

Warrior classification circuit stations include; ammo can (approx. 45lbs), sand-bags (approx. 30-40lbs), tire-flips (tractor tire, approx. 200-250lbs), weighted carry (approx. 90lbs), low rope crawl and some Warrior suprises.   

The race is open to the public. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers (open class and warrior class) and specific age categories, PLUS the top three teams. Who knows, you might get a sneak peek of a boar or two. Come join the fun !!

Race begins at 8:00am!

Early Registration Fee (BEFORE January 25):

$30.00 for open classification individuals and warrior classification individuals. (T-Shirt guaranteed)

$90.00 4-Person Team (T-Shirt guaranteed)

Registration Fee (STARTING January 25):

$40.00 for individuals registering on or after Friday, January 25, 2019.  T-shirts are NOT guaranteed if you register on or after Friday, January 25, 2019.

$110.00 for teams registering on or after Friday, January 25, 2019.  T-shirts are NOT guaranteed if you register after Friday, January 25, 2019.

Will accept registrations on the morning of race day for authorized base personnel, beginning at 6:30 am, cash or check only, T-Shirt NOT guaranteed.

 Race starts at 8:00am Saturday, February 2, 2019 at MCTAB.

Packet Pickup

Packet pick up for Civilians (non-military ID holders), Active duty, Dependents, Retirees and DoD employees will be on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the front gate Pass House parking lot on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay. Packet pick-up for Active duty, Dependants, Retirees and DoD employees will be on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the Semper Fit Center, Bldg 3037. Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race by all participants.

Base Access

The Marine Corps Training Area Bellows (MCTAB) Waimanalo, HI. is located on the left side of the main base road (Tinker Rd) right before the base sentry station. Parking will be available inside the gated area of MCTAB.

• Open classification (individual) top three (3) male and female overall finishers and specific age categories; 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55+
• Open classification (team) top three (3) teams
• Warrior Classification: Top three male and female finishers
