_ The 2019 Thunderbolt Youth Triathlon:

Thunderbolt Youth Triathlon is a USAT Sanctioned Swim, Bike, Run event for kids ages 5-17 years old.  It will consist of (5-10 year olds) 50 yd swim, 3 mile bike, .5 mile run and (11-17 year olds) 200 yd swim, 6 mile bike, 1 mile run.  Awards will be presented to age group winners and overall winners in each race as well as top relay teams.  The goal of the Thunderbolt is to provide an opportunity for kids to engage in the sport of triathlon, have fun and be a part of something amazing.  Participants will receive an overall time at the finish.  They will also recieve a t-shirt, a one of a kind challenge coin, a full race bag of goodies and glory for them and their family.  Participate as an individual (do the whole thing yourself) OR as part of a Relay Team (swimmer, cyclist or runner).  Among other things this race is very well supported by volunteers, sponsors and the community.  We have vendors, food at the finish, drinks and a slip and slide finish.
