_ The 2019 Tempe Race to Alleviate Homelessness:

Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA) welcomes you to the 

6th Annual Tempe Race To Alleviate Homelessness taking place on 

Saturday April 13th, 2019 at Kiwanis Park (North field) in Tempe. 

Join TCAA along with City of Tempe officials, faith and community partners, 

and friends and family in our race to alleviate homelessness in Tempe. 

Proceeds from this event help provide safety, resources, 

and support to empower men and women to find a pathway 

out of homelessness through TCAA’s I-HELP program, 

which benefits 600 men and women each year. 

I-HELP is Tempe’s only emergency shelter program for homeless men and women.

To register by mail please complete and return our Mail-in Registration Form!  Please make check payable to StartLine Racing.

All Participants Receive:

• Custom Event Finisher's Medal for all participants

• Custom Event Dri-Fit Tech T-Shirt for all participants

• Age Group Awards for Top Three in all Age Groups for the 5K distance only.  Our age groups are the following:

  • 8 & Under, 9 & 10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over

• Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Brunch" (bagels, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)

• Chip Timed with Real Time Results and Photos on our Website or Mobile App (on Apple and Google)

• Managed by StartLine Racing.  Club SLR discounts do not apply.

Packet Pick-up Opportunities

• Friday, April 12, 2019 from 4:00 - 7:00pm at Tempe Community Action Agency (map).

  • TCAA is located at 2146 E Apache Blvd, Tempe, AZ 85281

• Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Kiwanis Park (race location) beginning at 6:30am.

Event Schedule

• April 12 4:00 PM - Packet Pick up at TCAA in Tempe from 4-7pm

• April 13 6:30 AM - Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-up Opens

• April 13 7:30 AM - 5K Run/Walk Begins

• April 13 7:45 AM - 1 Mile Run/Walk Begins

• April 13 8:15 AM - Award Ceremony Begins (approx)

Race Day Information

• Race Day Registration will be available beginning at 6:30am at Kiwanis Park.

  • We accept cash, check, or credit card on race day

• Cost of registration on race day will be $45 for the 5K and $30 for the 1 Mile.  Age discounts do not apply on race day.

• We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons.

• No roller blades, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.

• Leashed pet and walker friendly
