_ The 2019 Hamden Road Race 5K & Kids Fun Run:

The 6th Hamden Road Race 5K and Kids Fun Run will be held at Town Center Park on Saturday, June 1, 2019.  The event includes a 5K road race and a half mile Kids Fun Run.

The inaugural Hamden Fest will also kick off on Saturday, June 1st after the road race with an extravaganza of events and activities in Town Center Park. The Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Town of Hamden to present this exciting event which will include: the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 15th Annual Business & Community Expo; Hamden Library Book Sale; Food Trucks and food vendors; Arts & Crafts & Antiques Fair; Kids’ Zone by Hamden Youth Service Bureau; Entertainment by the Liz McNicholl Band, Modern Music Masters from Hamden High School and The Wango Tango Band. Come enjoy this lively festival that will bring together Hamden’s best – businesses, arts, cultural and educational communities.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
• 7:00 am Registration Opens
• 8:15 am Registration Closes
• 8:30 am Start 5K Road Race
• 10:00am Start half mile Kids Fun Run

The 5k road race and half mile kids fun run will take place on NEW courses. The 5K will start at 8:30 a.m. and will offer runners 200 yards of trail running at the start and finish and the majority of the race of a flat paved trail. The half mile Kids Fun Run will be held on a grass field behind the Hamden Middle School and will start at 10:00 a.m.

PARKING:
• Ample parking available at Town Center Park
• Enter at Hamden Middle School 

• DO NOT PARK in the small lot located at 2773 Dixwell Avenue.
