_ The 2020 Tampa Bay Tequila Half Marathon Run With Valentine's 10K:

The Tampa Bay Tequila Half Marathon invites you to join us at Whiskey Joe's Tampa on Saturday February 14, 2020.  The half marathon distance begins at 7:30 a.m. and the 10K begins at 8:15 a.m.. A different medal is set for each distance! Each medal is awesome www.727CanRace.com  Whatever distance you choose you will be running WITH WATER ON BOTH SIDES! We hope you enjoy this race across the Bay!

 Participants will also receive a race day technical shirt as well as an electronically timed event with top finisher awards going  to the first 15 males and 15 female finishers in each distance with free beer and nacho bar for everyone beginning at 9:45 a.m.

From local Tampa Bay health enthusiasts to people who have visited Tampa Bay from all over the world, we’ve fallen in love with this beautiful fully paved fitness trail known as The Courtney Campbell Trail. Many of us have dreamed about participating in an event with water on both sides and this Bay run is one of the most classic in the world. 

All distances are bib chip timed with a start and finish line mat.  If you choose to change your distance on race morning please take the correct colored armband for the distance you will be completing and let Matt our timer at the start finish line know that you have changed distance and he will make the adjustment in the timing system.

The morning moves fast, we have a finite amount of registrants, and you will need to be on site in a timely manner in order to advance to your start corrals. The Half Marathon will begin at 7:30 a.m and there is a 3 hour time limit to complete this distance., The 10K will begin at 8:15 a.m. If a  5K is added  it will begin at 8:25 a.m.  The Shrine Headquarter parking garage on Rocky Point will open at 6:20 a.m.  

All distances are an out and back course on the trail which is completely paved. Due to the narrowing areas of the trail we cannot allow baby strollers or pets. If you are a participant who requires a special device please contact race management so that we start you in the perfect wave to suit your needs.

Event details and schedule

The race sells out quickly to each distance  so you are encouraged to register early and if you discover you can not make it on race day you can transfer to any other race on our annual calendar.  The price goes higher at the race sells out so register early and save. This is a great time to  run in Florida and Xanadu Races are fully sponsored so that we can keep our participation numbers lower and offer you a great "Race Local" experience. An email will go out to all race registrants late race week which will include your bib number assignment and all arrival and parking information you will need. If you opt to change your distance you must do so here on Active.com prior to race week. Once we have programmed each of you into our timing system no futher changes will be made so choose wisely as a different but AWESOME finisher's medal is offered for each distance!

All registrants will park at Ben T Davis free until 11 a.m. or free in the Shrine headquarters parking garage race morning. .

At 9:45 a.m. our post race party will present awards to the first 15 males and first 15 male finisher's in each distance. Overall finish times will be posted later on race day at www.727CanRace.com

Participants who choose to fundraise for the Shrine will recieve our sponsored bottle of Tequila gift bag if you send us an email to let us know you will be raising or donation $200 or more in donations to the Shrine of Tampa (these can be brought with you on race weekend). 

  Please note that there is a 3 hour time limit on the course and the course will be closed at 10:30 a.m. The pay stations will be enforced beginning at 11:00 a.m.

 Packet pick up is race morning only and an email will go out to all registered participants 2 days prior to the race which will include your bib number assignment along with all arrival instructions needed for a great morning.
