_ The 2019 Lace Up for Leukemia 5k:

Come enjoy the best family friendly race in the Interior and support Fairbanks' Team In Training in its mission to cure blood cancers, one mile at a time! The race is a flat out and back along the Chena River. It starts and ends at the boat launch at Pioneer Park near the Wilderness Pavilion.

The race is sponsored by the Fairbanks Team In Training, a group of walkers and runners that raises funds to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) work to discover new treatments for blood cancers. We run in honor of, in memory of, and in support of our families, friends and teammates who have endured cancer. We run for those that can't. We are their legs.

Proceeds from the race benefit LLS and will help fund valuable research and patient support.
