_ The 2019 Pirate Dash 5K:

The Dover band members alongside the Band Boosters are hosting this race to raise funds for upcoming out-of-state trips for the senior high band and instrument needs for all Dover Band members.  If you like pirates and running, join us for our Pirate Dash 5K. Put on your running shoes and best pirate outfit as you help these kids race towards their goal. Dover's very own Midnight Brigade will play cheerful tunes as you cross the finish line.

 We will also be hosting a costume contest for our best-dressed Pirate. Prizes will be awarded. We encourage you to don on your sharpest drawers and shirts for this adventure. However, we do have a few codes that we must follow. 1. Do not bring any real weapon or sharp object as a prop. We will allow foam objects but that is it since we do not expect to meet any threatening ships along our way. 2. Have fun with your outfit of choice but do remember you will be running in it for the race.

Awards: 

All will receive a finisher medal

Walkers: Overall top Male & Female

Runners: Top Male & Female in each Age Bracket:

• 12 and under
• 13-19
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60+. 

The race will be professionally hand timed.

We will have a bump & jump set up so that if you have any young kids or even adults that are not running they are able to have a seaworthy time!
