_ The 4th Annual Brent Morrison Memorial Chicken Run:

Western Arkansas Runners is honored to be able to carry on the Annual Memorial 5K Chicken Run honoring BRENT MORRISON who was an avid runner in the River Valley as well as the Hot Springs area.  This year will mark the 4th year that this run has been held and along with honoring Brent we will also be honoring CALEB HANSON who we lost earlier this year on January 14.  Caleb was a Southside HS graduate , ran track and continued on to UALR to run on their track team. There is so much more about this young man to share ! Come and join us on July 6th to run for these two men, find out more about them from their friends, fellow runners & family. Our Age Group awards are always an extra special treat and we always provide an awesome t-shirt and food afterwards !!! A portion of the proceeds will go to the Fort Smith Trail System with the remainder to go towards maintenance of the Western Arkansas Running Club building located in Chaffee on Ellis Street. Western Arkansas Runners supports the annual FREE Women Run Arkansas Clinic held in the Spring each year by providing our building for their use .  If you are unable to run/walk but are interested in volunteering or would like to make a donation please contact the race directors : Sheri Nicholls or Alison Gleason @ [email protected]  This course is certified .
