_ The 2020 Encinitas Half Marathon & 5K:

The Encinitas Half Marathon and 5K is known as San Diego's most scenic half marathon! Start/Finish at the World Famous Moonlight Beach in the heart of Encinitas, California. This course is mostly flat and features over 7 miles of OCEANFRONT running along the most beautiful coastline in San Diego. You'll run along Hwy 101 through the quintessential surf towns of Encinitas, Cardiff and Solana Beach and pass by the iconic Encinitas Boat Houses, the Surfing Madonna Mosaic, Cardiff Kook Statue, the Tipsy Tiki's and Swami's Temple! You'll feel the cool ocean breeze and spot world class surfers along the way!

As the 2nd largest half marathon in San Diego, this race is perfect for first-time half marathon runners and those looking to set a Personal Record! You'll get spoiled at the Finish Line with TruMoo Chocolate Milk, Harmless Harvest Coconut Water, Ki's Gigantic Organic Blueberry Muffins and then you can head over to the Legendary Beer Garden (located along the course on Hwy 101) for free local craft beer, live music, vendors, and a free photo booth to celebrate with your loved ones! All ages and 21+ to drink.

You'll start and finish at Moonlight State Beach and B Street! The race begins by heading east to Hwy 101, then turning left to go through "funky" Leucadia passing by local hotspots such as Pannikin, Solterra Winery and the Surfing Madonna mosaic. There will be toilets and aid stations at every mile. You'll also be surprised with "fun course entertainment" to keep you smiling! 

Next, you'll run through Encinitas passing by the legendary Encinitas Boat Houses, Swami's Temple and Gardens, Cardiff Kook statue all while you enjoy stunning ocean views all the way to Solana Beach. In downtown Solana Beach, you'll turn around at Lomas Santa Fe and make your way back to the finish line.

Moonlight State Beach:

From I-5, take Encinitas Blvd. and head 1/2 west towards the ocean. Encinitas Blvd. turns into B street where it dead ends into Moonlight Beach. You won't be able to miss the start/finish line.
