_ The 2019 Summer Solstice Trail Run:
Enjoy a beautiful early morning trail run in Gay City State Park. Choose a 5.5 or 3.3 mile run through the park and surrounding forests.
All finishers earn custom running socks and delicious post-race food.
NEW in 2019! The Hartford Marathon Foundation is proud to announce that the Summer Solstice Trail Run 3.3 Mile and 5.5 Mile will be a part of the CT Blue-Blazed Trail Running Series.
The Blue-Blazed Trail Running Series is a sequence of races in Connecticut that are run entirely or on part on the Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails (BBHT). The BBHT are maintained by the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA).
Please help give back to the community that has opened their streets for participants. Donations of nonperishable food will be collected on race day through the HMF Can drive to benefit Hebron Interfaith Human Services, which provides assistance to those families in need in Hebron, CT through its food pantry and other services.

• Gay City State Park is the remnants of an 18th century abandoned mill town in Hebron.
• You will pass the remains of the old paper mill, cross over the Blackledge River and view many traditional old stone walls in the deep woods.
• The park is located on Route 85, near the border of Bolton.
• Trails are well maintained but expect some rocks and roots along the way.
