• 5K Run/Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

_ The 2019 Effingham County Fair 5K:

The Race will start and finish on the horse track in front of the grandstands, you will take a loop around the track out into the fairgrounds finishing on the track where you started and completing 3.1 Miles with music, Start and Finish.

Professional chip timing by Kinetic Timing will be used to time the race. 1st - 100 participants will be guaranteed a race shirt, don't hesitate to sign up.

Register before July 23st to guarantee a Race Shirt.

Race Morning Packet pickup and Race day registration will be between 6:45 - 7:15am, Race START at 7:30 AM sharp

The runners will begin on the Fairgrounds track in front of the grand stands, complete 4/5th of the track and exit the track on the south entrance road then runners will head toward Gilbert Park between the ball fields and onto the NEW ACHS/AGS Track complete a loop grab some water and head back toward the south of Gilbert Park. then runner will have a country loop (nicely mowed) near some crops and barns. Then head back on the south entrance road toward the south entrance of the Fairgrounds track near the stables and run another 4/5th of the Fairs track.  Water will be position at 2 locations on the course just after the 1st mile (1.15) as you begin your grade school track loop and just as you begin your country grass loop.

Awards will be given to the Top 3 Male and Female Runners and Top Male and Female Walkers (that only walk).

Come and run the inaugural Effingham County Fair 5K, famous for the Pork Producers Stand, Talent Show, Demo Derby, Fair Queen Pageant, Horse Races and Tractor pull. Were kicking the whole fair week off with a 5K run. Race packet will include one free entry ticket to be used anytime during the week of the fair.
