_ The 2020 Herrinfesta Road Races:
The Herrinfesta Road Races evolved from a series of road races that Art Reveal started to showcase his son, Kevin’s, running ability. In 1981 the series was simply called the Herrin Road Races, with courses designed to be flat and fast. Steeped in history, the 10K and the Park Avenue Mile still use the same course. The longstanding course records speak to how fast this course can be. This is a great course for a new PR. This race takes place on the last day of Herrinfesta Italiana, a week long festival with rides, carnival food, and great bands. Bring the family in and enjoy family day at the fair. Rides open a 1pm.
Top 5 male and female in the 10k receive special awards, and age group awards will be based on 5 year groupings. Top 3 in each age group will get a custom wine stopper medal. **Top 5 placings will be based off gun time. Age groups will be based off chip time.
Top Male and Female in the Park Avenue Mile will receive a plaque, and age group awards will be based on 5 year groupings. Top 3 in each age group will get a custom wine stopper medal.
Our goal is to provide a high quality event at a reasonable price. There will be 4 Aid Stations on the 10k course with water, Gatorade, and Ice cold rags with the race logo on them. We know how to have a good time and the finish line spread won’t disappoint either!!!

Park Avenue Mile and 5k or 10k $30 pre-registered/ $40 race day*Must be able to make the 9:20am start time for the Park Avenue Mile.
Youth one mile fun run (12 and under) $5 pre-registered $8 race day START TIME 9:23 AM South Side Lumber
Awards will be held at 10AM at the finish line area in front of City Hall!

Monday May 27th from 6:30 -7:15 am at the Herrin Civic Center
