_ The 9th Annual Vac & Dash Moonlight 5K - Ten-Miler - Double Feature Half-Marathon & Movie:

Run a race & watch a movie at one of the most unique night running events in the South. The 9th Annual Vac & Dash Moonlight 5K, 10-Miler, Double Feature 1/2 Marathon & Movie starts and finishes at the Badin Road Drive-In in Albemarle, NC.    This is a chip timed event.

In 2020 we will cap the following events at the following participants.  5K - 100   10-Miler - 50    Double Feature Runner - 100   

Age Group Awards for the 5K & 10-miler plus trophy's to top three male and female runners in both races.  Finisher medals to those that participate in the 10-miler and Double Feature Half-Marathon. 

The run will be held on Sunday evening, May 26th.  It is the Sunday night before Memorial Day. Come on out and get your race in.  Enjoy a movie afterwards. Also, this is a great event to bring your support crew to, as they can watch a movie while you are running the 10-Miler.

The 5K starts at 7:00 pm and is a relatively flat course for the area.

The Ten-Miler starts at 9:00 pm. By running both races you will be in the Double Feature Half-Marathon  (3.1 + 10 = 13.1 miles).

Your support crew of family and friends can watch the movie while you run. The 5K & 1/2 Marathon are both limited to 125 participants in each race. Runners that participate in both events earn a Double Feature Runner Long-Sleeve Hooded T-shirt. Runners in the 5K and 10-Miler get a Long Sleeve Cotton Shirt. Age group awards for both races.

Note: You are guaranteed a shirt if you register by 5/20.  After that date, we will do the best we can to get you your proper sized shirt and style.

Finisher medals for all 10-Milers and Double Feature Runners. Entry fee includes entry to the movie. Family and friends not running will pay the normal price to get into the movie. At this time, it's $6.00 per person to get into the drive-in. Runners in the 10-Miler must wear reflective lights, light colored shorts and have as much reflective wear as possible.

Donations are being accepted to benefit the United Way of Stanly County.
